Hey everyone!
I have decided to create a blog to document my time in New Zealand this semester. I'm hoping to post at least once a week, depending on what trips/activities we do and what pictures I have. I'm really excited to start this journey and also excited to share as much of it as possible with my friends and family!
Writing this post it is my first full day here. The time difference isn't as hard to adjust as I was expecting, but we've been keeping really busy with activities which is definitely helping. Yesterday we had a nice long ride from the airport to the university where we got to see a lot of the different aspects of the land. From rolling hills to mountains to huge fields there was always something beautiful to look at. When getting to university we were assigned rooms and immediately taken to unpack/settle in and went to the store. There's a small Walmart-style store in walking distance from campus where we got everything we needed. After that it was just dinner and hanging out, where my friend Brooke and I took a walk around campus, which is so scenic and beautiful. The rest of this week is just orientation activities, so we have lots of time to settle in and make friends. Everyone here is super nice and friendly and I feel very lucky to be able to be here for a whole semester.
