After a final bit of packing and last clean and tidy up of the motorhome we headed to Christchurch Airport at 08.30 to start our journey home. The motorhome was returned without any hassle (only breakage was the glass microwave plate that broke during an off roading trip) and we checked in for our 10 hour flight to Singapore. The flight took off as scheduled at midday and we were soon served drinks (Singapore Sling!) before lunch and then also had supper before landing at Changi Airport at 17.30 local time (clocks back 5 hrs). Changi was vast and well set up for people in transit - we went to an airport hotel rooftop swimming pool for a couple of hours with planes coming and going as we swam and relaxed on the loungers in 30 degrees. We visited the orchid gardens and were invited to the Long Bar for complimentary cocktails ( Singapore Sling) after shopping at duty free we boarded and took off at midnight.
