So half of this day was in Washington DC looking at the Smithsonian Zoo so we saw the pandas, and the otters whos names are Pork Chop, Pickles, Saffron, Olive, Peaches, Turnip, and Radish. The last otter has a more traditional name Kevin. I believe Kevin might be the special one of the otters. After we left the zoo we started heading to Williamsburg, Virginia where we took tours around and saw what the colonies would have seen, how tought it was back then, and how actually hard it was to live back then. It was not as developed as it is now so they didn't have the right medicine, and tools to creat certian stuff like glass, it was all imported.
Later in the evening we renacted a colonial army. We answered our Sergeant with a yes sergeant, or no sergeant. We learned commands and they even taught us how to fire a musket, but they never let us fire one :( but thats ok. We learned how to march and to never leave gaps in our line. It was pretty fun, but I thought how hard it was for the colonial army back then, having to be away from their families for three years or more, being stuck in a small tent, how hot and/or cold it would get, and seeing your friends or family die during war, but it's kinda the same way with our army right now.
To leave off on a better note, I had a pretty fun day! Can't wait for Busch Gardens tomorrow...Bye!
