New York is really cool, Street meat is pretty good, the street vendors are really nice and funny, and it's really fast paced and busy on the streets. What I learned the hard way is that you can't be slow, you have to be quick and keep up with the group. It was kind of hard because in Oklahoma you really don't have to do all that, maybe in the halls at school but not on the streets. Being used to walking slow and not used to the surroundings around us it was kinda hard to keep up with our tour guied.
Being able to look at all the historical sites was absolutly amazing! The museum of modern art (MOMA) was astounding, the Central Park was beautiful, Statue of Librety was bigger than I thought, Ellis Island was very interesting, 9/11 memorial+museum mad me sad, Time Square was busy, and the Empire building was really high up. All was an amazing experiense of New York.
I do want to mention a couple of things, I did study 9/11/01 and what the effects were, and seing the monument, pictures, and just the stuff in the museum in general up close, looking at how big the buildings were, looking at the Slurrys (walls that held back the Hudson river, because they were built over the river) and how massive they were. I felt small, and it made me sad, seeing what some saw, i felt small like it would take a long time to fix, and it did, it effected so many people, even me and now because of that I have a better understanding of what happened on that day
I bet tomorrow will be fun
