Our last full day in India as we have an early flight in the morning to Chennai (Madras). We take a walk to the beach before breakfast as the local fishermen have their nets out and are starting to pull in their catch. I haven't seen this done since I was a kid on holidays at Rainbow Bay. These nets are slightly bigger though and it takes them sometime to haul them in by hand. When it is close to shore three of the fisherman tie their sarongs extra tight and enter the water in the centre of the net and start slapping the water and yelling, scaring the fish into the back of the net. Once the nets are in they are full of jelly fish and they have to sort through the jellyfish to retrieve the fish. After breakfast we head back to the boardwalk in front of the beach and do some local shopping of things to take home to remind us of our time here. The climb back up the hill to our hotel after lunch is exhausting as it is so hot and humid so we spend the afternoon in and around the pool. It would of been nice to have swum in the ocean again but people in the surf were coming out with stings so we weren't going to chance it.
I can't believe how quickly our time in India has flown by. We've loved every minute of it, it really is Incredible India.
