March 21st (Saturday) - Day 21 - Hue to Hoi An
We left the hotel at 8 on a bus to Hoi An. We stopped twice to go paddling in the south China sea. Once we arrived we went out with the group for lunch then had a wander around town. It was really hot (38 degrees) so we went for a swim to cool down. We went for dinner with the group and ended up going to a number of pubs. We stummbled in at about 2am.
March 22nd (Sunday) - Day 22 - Hoi An
We got picked up and taken to the coast where we jumped on a boat to go snorkelling. It took over an hour to reach our first stop. It was so rough... Once we arrived we put on our gear on dived in. We soon noticed that there were hundred of jellyfish; mainly tiny ones but Sarah got stung a few times and Jess had a massive one. I saw all manor of thing including blue star fish, coral and enenermies. We then headed to the nicest beach I have ever seen. Clear blue waters, golden sand and a rain forest back drop. The place was also deserted. It did not take long to fall asleep as it was so tranquil and peaceful. When I did wake up I was asked if I wanted to go on a catameran around the bay. We sailed around for half an hour. I sat on the side between the middle and the side and got soaked as I was only sat on some mesh. The journey back was not so rough and we sat on the sun deck. The clouds were rolling in and it was such an impressive site. I had a wander around to try and find a camera shop but had no luck.
March 23rd (Monday) - Day 23 - Hoi An
Was in an urgent need of a lay in so didnt get up until 10am. We wondered into town and bought a set of tickets for places of interest. We went to a craft workshop, a house, an assumbly hall, a Japanesse covered bridge and a culture museum. In the even we headed to a bar called the sleepy Gekco. The bar looked over the river and we caught the sun set. It was full of large (harmless) bugs called Bullri and Geckos! We ordered some indian and returned to the hotel to watch a film with Jess.
March 24th (Tuesday) - Day 24 - Hoi An
The alarm went off at 4:15 as we had a bus to a hindu temple at 5am. I feel asleep on the bus and missed the sun rise but the pictures look nice. We had an hour looking around the old hindu temple, most of which was destroyed in the war. Some of it is being restored. We got back to the hotel about 9 and then had to pack as we were getting a flight south. On the way to the airport we stopped of at the marble mountains. There were hundreds of marble carvings, tiny ones to massive 20 foot high ones. We arrived at the airport to find out our flight was delayed by 2 hours. So we waited and we waited and it was still later than the advertised time leaving. At the other end our bus had given up waiting for us so we had to wait again until we got a hold of the driver. Finally got to the hotel 3 hours later than planned.
