May 30th (Saturday) - Day 90 - Surfers Paradise
In one last act of kindness, Gill and Wayne gave us a lift down to Surfers. Once we arrived we drove up to the spit and took Millie for a walk down a spit which went out to sea. From there we got our first look at surfers. Huge sky scrapers lined the place. We then went to our hostel to check in. It was not ready so we dumped our bags and went down and sat on the beach for a few hours. Once we could we checked in and then had a good look around town before finding our way back to the beach. We then had a drink in a beach side place before walking around some more. We ended up in a weird little park that had some bizarre thrill rides, none of which looked overly unsafe (so gave it a miss). We ended up in some life guard club were we had to sign in. We over ordered food and ended up doing nothing all night because we were to ill. (Apart from take a long walk up the beach under the stars!)

May 31st (Sunday) - Day 91 - Surfers Paradise
Once awake enough we wandered down the beach and sat there until mid afternoon when the wind crept up. I was covered in sand when I got up as it had got that windy. To break the mould of just walking around we went to the cinema and watched Angels and Demons. That evening we over ordered again and spent the rest of the night feeling stuffed.
