Sorry it's taken me so long to get a message to you. Now the October break here and off for some sun. Have enjoyed the blog and think there's definitely a book here. Look forward to Peru and some pictures of starlit skies.

Hi Neil and Gwen, Glad things are going well and that you did not appear in an episode of ER whilst in Chicago. I like your restaurant guide to the US. Tell us about the weather - I can assure you it is never hot in Blackpool - and keep us posted on the Baseball World Series.................

Hi Neil
Looks like you are having a damned fine time. The tranquility of Aimish country must have been a stark contrast to the buzz of Manhattan. Some great photos that really deserve captions. Getting colder by the day in Auld Reekie

Unsteady on your feet.
Whilst proceeding in a westerly direction on Friday 12 Sept @23.00, one was spotted by the polis, who then about turned and tapped upon the window of the car and asked oneself if one were intending to drive the vehicle. "Yes indeed officer", said I, "is there a problem?" It's just that some of the party seemed a little unsteady on their feet and we wis wondering who the driver was. On being reassured it was moi meme, and whatsmore, due to the extreme stingieness of the offerings at 6 Leslie Place, one was as sober as a newt, we were given leave to depart. Question 1 Who was unsteady on their feet?
Question 2 Who felt best on Saturday morning?
Question 3 So when was your first fall out (it doesn't feature on the blog)?
