We had a layover in Strasburg, where we just sat...for like 2 hours. but then it got exciting! a bunch of police men came into the building and started demanding passports! they took ours, figured we werent criminals and let us stay there...then it was back to just sitting...

really other than that, not much to report. i had to sit across from the jolly green giant for most of the second train, which meant my legs were confined to about 2 square inches somewhere underneath my own chair...this required some major contortioning on my part (recall brian regan yoga sketch....anyone?) so that was fun...

we got to the 4 You Youth Hostel in Munich pretty late, but it was a really nice place, even had an elevator! granted it took about a minute for the doors to close. we settled into our room, killed sometime downstairs in the hostel and then went back to bed. at which point all our roommates were asleep so we had to tiptoe around everywhere...more to come on the mornings events later...
