Day 7 - San Francisco
I got rushed of the computer yesterday and didnt get a chance to mention the cruise we took in the evening. We took a cruise from pier 39 on Fisherman's Wharf (and saw lots of sea lions!). The cruise was great, it took us straight passed Alcatraz Island and under the Golden Gate Bridge although the weather still hadn't cleared up!
Today we had better weather :).
We started off in Union Square, there wasnt really much to see other than fancy shops. From here we picked up a 1 day pass for all public transport systems for $14 (including cable cars!) and made our way to Chinatown. Chinatown has an ornate gateway which was pretty cool with its capped green roof tiles. We had a wonder around Chinatown and decided to get the cable car to a section of Lombard Street which is "the crookedest street in the world" - doesnt sound great but check out the pictures and you will see just how crooked it is! We hung around in San Francisco for a while until it was time to go to the Baseball game! We watched San Francisco Giants vs Arizona Diamondbacks. The game was really good, lots of good atmosphere for sure even though Giants lost.
I've really enjoyed my stay in San Francisco, it has a lot of character and definately lots to offer and see.
Tomorrow we leave San Francisco and head to Yosemite National Park.
