The first week is almost over already! It feels like I've already been here for weeks but it has also gone by so fast. School is going great, it really is intense. They cram in a lot of knowledge throughout the day and I've already had my first practice teaching session. It was little nerve racking but I did good. I safely made it to Firenze, all in one piece! The train ride was pretty uneventful....I did splurge for first class because I was a little nervous about things :) I took a cab to my apartment (after my experience in Roma, I wasn't taking any chances...even with my googlemaps) and arrived at the exact same time as one of my roommates, Emily. I finally got wifi in my apartment so I will catch up on what I did the last day in Rome and then my arrival in Firenze. The last day in Roma was great, I visited the Vatican City which exceeded my expections. I'm happy to say that today's journey to the termini with my luggage was much much smoother. It took me 10 mins to get there and within 15 mins I was on my train! I splurges and went for first class, it's so luxurious :). My stupid heavy bag will not fit anywhere, luckily I can cross my legs on my chair and put it in front of me....hopefully no one wants to get by! Train leaves in 5 mins and I'll be in Firenze by 12:50, an hour and a half ride.
