After leaving Bolivia, we headed to Salta in Argentina, where we were taking a very short stop before going to Buenos Aires, to meet up with our dear friend Martin Howarth from lovely Bury who has now been on the travelling road for 10months and we missed him so just had to meet up since we were finally on the same continent.
Not really much to do or see in Salta except white water rafting and since we were just passing through for one night only, we didnt have any plans to do that. Our only plan was to go and get a little bit merry...which we did. Not much else to say for Salta, we left early in the morning to get our 20 hour bus to BA and that was that. Although im sure the 20 hour bus journey sounds bad, it was one fo the best nights sleep we´ve had so far. They feed you, water you, give you a fresh clean blanket and the seats reclined ALL the way back. Perfecto.
We arrived in BA, the party capital of South America and did a spot of light shopping (be rude not to). The city is quite European, really busy and lively. the next two days (and especially nights) were a bit of a blur and we didnt get out much in the day but surfaced at night instead due to our slightly sore heads from the previous nights activities.
After leaving Martin after only one night, we decided that we would see some more of Argentina by heading over to Cordoba where Martin currently was so on yet another bus we clambered (?...is this a word? if so it is technical bus terminology) and made the 11 hour trip to Cordoba for yet some more drinking and sunshine.
This is where we are at right now. It is tuesday evening and we are flying out of Santiago in Chile on thursday night to New Zealand. The bus to Santiago is approx 16 hours and me and Jade have no plans to move from here until tomorrow night. Organised? as always. i never leave things to the last minute do i?! I`m pretty certain that we wont be missing our flight though...hope not.
Argentina was fun but we are saving the last bit of energy that we have left for NZ coz soon after that we will be relaxing on beaches in gorgeous Fiji.
Next blog entry will be from NZ after our 16 hour bus journey and then our 13 hour flight, the clue is in the title...travelling.
Lots of love and leave me some more fun messages for when I get there.
