10:30pm- Arrived in Sydney after a mammoth 24 hour journey!
Got out of the airport, no idea where we were going! Steph's words 'two little dots in the big wide world' haha. Managed to jump in a cab-share with two other ladies so finally reached bondi backpackers at 12:20am!
Chucked our stuff down and realised that there were no blankets, so we improvised with our towels and luckily had jumpers to sleep in! It was like time didn't move as we got woken up at 4am (by someone being sick in the corridor) and then again at 6 but went back to sleep! It's basically like being at uni all over again!!
11:30am woke up and went for a walk along Bondi beach! Got an energy boost juice drink each- amazing! And sat on the sand for a while. Managed to see the Bondi lifeguards who saved a boy from a surfing injury and carried him up to the lifeguard tower! Heroes!!
1pm- went exploring locally around Bondi junction and Tamarama beach. Got the bus to Bondi junction which has lots of shops, an Oxford street and Westfield centre- just like London!! We ended up walking a long way to the beach and bumped into Dan from Geordie shore- didn't get a pic as he was with a girl and we looked like 15 year old fan girls so gave that a miss! Apparently he's always around the area so maybe tomorrow! Tamarama beach was lovely, a little cove in between houses on a mountain so pretty. We went for a dip in the sea but the water was freezing! 4pm- Walked back to Bondi and went for a walk around the skateboard park to watch some of the skaters. We went for a walk around the shops and stopped for a bite to eat in nandos.
5:30pm- met Johnny the travel agent (shop is underneath our hostel) who helped us sort out a route for the east coast! Looks like we have a busy schedule ahead of us! Ended up coming up to the hostel and crashing out until 11:30pm! A storm started the rain was worse than back home!
12:30am- still couldn't sleep so went for a walk to Campbell parade and ended up with Krispy Kremes!!! Bang goes the healthy eating
