So on Day 7 we left Bryron bay and got to Surfer's paradise for about 1pm, we checked into our hostel 'cheers' and met some cool English girls Kirsty and Vicky who were in our room. we swapped stories with them for the afternoon, and then did a tad of shopping. the city was a fair size so lots to look round.

Day 8 we got up early as we wanted to do surfing so we started to check out the places that we could do it at and finially found a surf school that had some spaces for 1.45pm that afternoon. the winds were really strong so we were a little apprehensive about doing our first surfing lesson, but we thought what better place to do surfing than at sufers paradise eh. so surf we tried. I was incredibly difficult! we both managed to get to our knees but not to our feet sadly. the photographer that we could have got photos from caught some of amazing expressions though ranging from petrified to achievement and enjoyment. We were exhausted by the end but both really enjoyed ourselves and are really glad we did it. At 8pm that evening we sadly said goodbye to surfers and went on our bus to Brisbane to stay at a hostel called Tinbilly's.
