Nat and Beck Go Large!
OUr flight to Cuzco this morning was delayed and due to a severe lack of tvs in Lima airport, there wasn't a chance in hell of us seeing the FA Cup final, and had to ait til we landed to learn that the Reds had won...news travels faster from Australia it seems, as we received confirmation of the win from our contacts there before Shazzer (Nat's mum) got word through!
We got to our hotel, then had our orientation walk through the town, stopping for lunch and shopping along the way. That evening, it was time for the Inca Trail debriefing, which Becky sat smugly through, knowing that she was going to be getting hot showers for the next 3 days and the rest of us would be trekking through Peru, getting smellier by the day. There was 18 on our trek altogether, and our guide was Jimmy, with our tour leader Emilia and assistant guide Julio bringing up the rear (Nat had already decided to stick at the back seeing as Julio was carrying the canister of oxygen). Then it was an early dinner and an early night for the early start in the morning (am thinking "early" is going to become a very overused word during the course of the next few days!)
