Italy:
We than arrived to Italy!!! Omg Italy! It was amazing from start to finish here. I wish I could go back. Straight away when we got there we all went swimming. It wasn't as good as Australian's waters but it was heaps better than Sweden's. For starters it actually smelt and tasted like salt water- which felt like that water back home. Somehow this place really brought all the exchange kids together- don't ask me how but here is where everyone was friendly and people who you hadn't really talk with, you became friends with. That night we had a traditional Italian meal- you can really tell the difference between the pasta from here to Sweden and Australia. This night we did heaps of exploring- we went to markets and window shopped and it was really nice.
The next day was free day. We could do whatever we liked. So I pretty much spent the whole day on the beach swimming and did a bit of shopping and ate pizza. The pizza here was really cheap so we got heaps of it. Also icecream! In Euro ice cream is a very big deal- every so many meters there is a ice cream booth. Especially in Italy where I was having a good 5 ice creams a day.
The next day I spent the morning on the beach with Taine and a girl Nicole from New Zealand and two boys Pablo and Daniel from America. I'm going to miss these beaches so much. After being in Swedish beaches for so long it is just amazing. Than after lunch we travelled to the sinking town of Venice! We went there by boat which was so so hot and the city of Venice was extremely hot too. All over there were puddles in the middle of the town where you could see it was legit sinking. You have no idea how beautiful this place is though. We got to go in gondalows* not sure on spelling but the little boats with the man guiding it. It was an unforgettable experience. We than had a guided tour of this beautiful city before we could explore by ourselves. There were lots of masks here as they use to have heaps of balls. That night was really good actually as well because Taine, Isabella (from Usa) and I went to the beach with some chocolate and pizza to just hang out and talk. This was until this police man told us it was time to leave- he was actually really funny- I'm not sure if he was meaning to be or it was his broken English but yeah.
