I woke up at 9 for my free breakfast, I have quite a soft spot for mango jam apparently so I had a slice of toast with that on, and a slice of toast with peanut butter and banana on, an old favourite of mine. I then went back to bed. A couple of hours later I awoke again and packed as check out was at 12. We then made our way to the bar/restaurant we had late night beers at the night previously.
The restaurant was amusing, they got 1 out of 6 orders correct and it was all quite a kerfuffle, however in the end we all had food we were happy to eat. Gabbi and I had a bacon, egg and cheese bagel. After lunch we headed back to the hostel. I uploaded my Vietnam and Cambodia photos and did a few Instagram posts and just generally played with the iPad, I can't work out how to add money to my Caxton card which is incredibly frustrating. After a while the others went for a wander round the shops, I stayed and facetimed joe instead, it was nice to speak to him. I then made my way over the road to the bazaar to same some of the skewers, I had a sausage that looks a bit like a savaloy, and a pork one., they were really good, especially with the vinegar and chilli dip sauce. Our taxi arrived at half 5 to take Gabbi, Dave and me to the airport. Everyone was tired and in their own world, I fell asleep and jumped when the driver spoke to us!
At the airport we did the usual, got some food and got on to the plane, on the other side we got a taxi. Paps and I became rather hyper on the plane which was amusing for us to say the least.
The taxi man, George, was sweet. However, I did not like the fact he kept talking about how much more lucky we were to travel and how hard he has to work just to support his family... We know we are lucky, but we are not rich and I didn't really like his attitude to us on the subject.
We arrived at the hostel, le village, and were amazed, there was this massive plush looking bar area with upstairs seating etc. we soon realised that actually that was the bar, our hostel was the building behind it.
The hostel was nice and smelt fresh, we were given a free drinks token, so we put our stuff down and went to redeem it. We sat in the garden and had 3 beers, just chatting about life and friends and eventually went to bed for a restful nights sleep.
