So today was a long day in the van too!! Stopped for breakfast in iHop and had pumpkin pancakes and egg and bacon. Was ok not great! Arrived late into Layfette and very tired. Went to a traditional Cajun restaurant but as I don't do spice, can't say I enjoyed it! Never mind I was a bit over tired today so whatever I ate I don't think I would have enjoyed!! Looking forward to New Orleans tomorrow!

Went to my first American football game today. First we went tailgating (which is pretty much having a drink and having a street party but in a parking lot) was a lot of fun! We were interviewed on TV as we had travelled so far to be at the game! We then went to the university of Texas stadium which was huge! It holds 100,000 people! Madness!! Spent a lot of time travelling today to get to Austin Texas but was worth it!! We had an all you can eat BBQ at a place called Saltlick! We then sat and watched a live band outside and had a few drinks. Very chilled out - was great! Then went to out hostel for the night (basic but ok!) was tired so didn't go out

Early start today, stopped off at Roswell to learn all about the incident in 1947 of UFO's! Was a quick look round the museum. Then in the afternoon we headed to Carlsbad Caverns, miles of underground beautiful caves. We then went to our accommodation (cabins for the night) we then had our dinner cooked by a Christian our tour guide who made us chilli and we made smores by the fire. Was a lovely evening.

Made our way to Sante Fe in New Mexico today. On the way we stopped at the famous house from breaking bad (totally lost on me as I don't watch it - so in my opinion we stopped to look at a housing estate!!!). Had a lovely walking tour round Sante Fe and a traditional market. Then ate dinner in a Mexican restaurant and had the nicest honey bread and butter ever!!!
