Bangkok again!!

22nd Nov - we looked around for a hostel in the early hours of the morning,not having much luck due to a massive marathon that was happening! We found a triple room with a communal bathroom and shared with another girl-lucie - 4quid each!! We went for breakfast and saw both Lauras (from our tour group)...was sooo nice to see them!! Saw Dom later too! I then went to the international hospital with vicci which was ridiculously nice...like a palace!! The rest of the day involved shopping and waving Laura off home.:(

23rd. Did a bit more shopping and then because the rest of the group had gone to a popular ping pong show when they got to bangkok, me and lucy thought it was a new experience which we should check out (mum and dad - its just a table tennis tournament in thailand!!) !!! it was rather weird and definately a new experience lol!! We then said bye to Laura and and Renee who we also managed to bump into.

24th - said goodbye to lucie and dom (lots of goodbyes!!) and went to get our overnight train. On the train some girls had the same beds as us, and we then noticed 10mins before depature that our tickets were for the next day!! damn travel agent...so because vic has a spaz foot I had to sprint back and forth the hoooge station to try and change our tickets. we ended up having to pay to change for a cheaper ticket which was just a seat...so not easy to sleep in! especially with people shouting trying to sell food at all hours! not a good night!

25th - Arrived in Chumphon and walked to the hostel at 5am! Stayed at the Farang Bar which was really nice and simple with friendly staff. We got a tuk tuk to the beach and spent the day there...its was so big and empty and the sea was like bath water! The sand was covered in really funny crabs digging holes and all that! Saw 2 jelly fish though which cut my little swim short! hate them! We then went and explored town a little and the helpful staff at the hostel nicely sorted our boat out for us so we could go to Koh Tao!

26th - We woke up at 5am to get the bus and ferry. Forgot I didnt like ferrys so wasnt great for my head and stomach!! But when we arrived the weather was gorgeous and so unexpected!! the trravel agent told us not to go because of storms, and the weather forecast was the same! but its lush here!! So we did the right thing and caught some rays!! Had a lovely little hut to stay in a minutes walk from the beach and opposite the pool! I officially love Koh Tao!! That night we had dinner on the beach - had a pie- nice a local! best ice cream shake ever!! we then went on internet and then walked along beach stopping off at different bars with bean bags on the beach and flame throwers to watch, which became routine for most nights!!

27th had our intro to scuba diving with davy jones' locker company, with the lovely Fred - he was french! Met aiofe and jess who were our scuba buddies. Had bbq on beach that evening which was amazing! Next day we did more theory and then went in the pool. was alright except jess couldnt blow our through her nose so she couldnt complete the course :( . really knackered after that, and couldnt help but have my first proper nap since ive been away!! On the 29th we had our first two open water dives in the afternoon. They were really good, just practised skills underwater. Visibility wasnt great due to rough sea. Saw lots of pretty fish and was nice to control my own buoyancy. on the 30th we had two morning dives, where we saw more fish and stingrays, and was getting comfortable underwater - not above it, the tank weighed a tonne! made my travelling backpack feel light!! On our last night we also went to see a lady boy show which was soo funny, had a really good time!!
