Another trip gone well, all checked into a lovely hotel with pool. Its raining continuously and mozzies have eaten my leg alive.... Still totally in love with Hoi An and once we get some tailor made brogues I think Tash might be joining that!

Our first experience of the night bus went without a hitch, ignoring the fact I started a new book and accidentally read for most of the night. Hue was a strange city, one I still can't quite get my head around. It was the Vietnamese capital from the early 1800's until 1945 and the main attractions are sites from this time. We've just come back to Hanoi after a three day trip in Halong Bay. Although it's moving into the cooler season here we ended up really lucky with stunning sunshine the whole trip. After the nightmare journey to Vientiane it's safe to say we felt pretty smug getting our 45 minute flight into Vietnam last night. I'm not sure either of us would have been able to face a 30 hour sleeper bus. So we're now in crazy crazy Hanoi and have spent the day wandering around soaking up the craziness.
