In Córdoba we had an outstanding tour guide named Maria who was a native of Córdoba. She was so energetic and was really good at not overloading us with superfluous information; sometimes it can get tricky hearing the facts through a thick dialect, but she was incredible. Today we spent the day in Sevilla. This city was founded by Julius Caesar and is entrenched with Moorish culture and architecture. First, we saw the Plaza de Espana which now serves as primarily government offices, but had some BEAUTIFUL tile work, which you will see in our pictures. Today we experienced something that I am sure we will never forget: we attended a bullfight in Villaluegna del Rosario, a small village about an hour and ½ outside of Cádiz with a population of 481. This morning we arrived in Cádiz, Spain, and which is pronounced KAH-deez . We woke up as the pilot boat was leading us into port. Many of the students and faculty were there with us at 7:00am as we watched the sunrise over Cádiz. One of the students had a sign that said "Thank you Mom for showing me the WORLD."
