We got up early around 9ish and then jumped on the bus to Whakarewarewa Thermal Village. Immediatly we noticed the eggy smell (from the sulphurous fumes). We were all on the coach before 8am and set off to climb a hill that has fantastic views of the surrounding area. It was worth the effort of thr climb.
