Had a look at your latest photos - it's good to see the sun is still shining somewhere in the world !! No doubt you've heard that we've had a lot of rain over here and today is no different - our rain gauge shows we've had almost 3 centimetres in the last three days and the weather man is predicting thunderstorms for us later today - ooo-er ! Having said that we have been lucky enough to have had some sunshine sent us when special people like your Mam and Dad have been to visit so have managed to sit out in the garden a few times this summer - tell your Mam she left her suncream here - I don't suppose she's needed it since to have missed it ! We went to an outdoor play and picnic on Sunday night - it managed to stay fine for the performance but the ground was like a quagmire and it was cold and damp by the time we all left at 10:30p.m. It took us all morning yesterday to clean off our boots, foldup chairs, ground cloth, picnic things etc ! Emma and Sarah have both flown out to find some sun elsewhere - Em to Gran Canaria, Sarah to Majorca - we're looking after her cats here so they're keeping us on our toes! It's strange having them around the house - got used to being without pets since our cat died in May.
We've had another mini trip away since I last chalked on your message board - been to the WW1 Battlefields of France and Belgium with Margaret and Ken which produced a mixture of emotions as you can imagine. We had some fun too though, and it was quite an experience to stay in an old chateau which didn't look as if it had recovered from having been occupied during the last war. We weren't sure whether we were taking part in scenes from 'Allo 'Allo or a creepy horror movie...quite a laugh ! Not got another holiday now until middle of September when we go to Poland.
I remembered to post off your Dad's birthday card ready for Thursday - I'm sure you'll be speaking to him then, eh ? And how nice to have their visit out to you to look forward to !
Must sign off now, put on our rainwear and venture out.Take care Jenni,
Sending love and kisses, Aunty Kath and Grunkle Brian xx

Hi Jenny,
Still following your travels with interest and looking for tips on where to go. You certainly are seeing things that the rest dream of, enjoy it, have done my share of fruit picking in my youth so can appreciate what you say. HAVE TO SAY STRAWBERRIES AND potatoes are the most back breaking, apples are the easiest. We set off October we do perth first then over to New Zealand we hit Adelaide Jan but don't make it over to Mackay until End of Jan then driving back down thro Townsvile to Sydney if you are still there will bring you your tbags brown sauce etc. lthough heading out to Ayers Rock and Tasmania, Adelaide and Melbourne first so could meet you before if you are still around. How long does your visa last? Are your mum and dad still coming out, they said they were hoping to?
Take care enjoy
Love for now

hi jen
look as though you are having a fab time over there, we are getting a little bit of sunshine but every time we sit in the garden it either rains or blows a gail, eddie is still playing is golf and we go fishing when weathers nice, we went to canaries in may it was lovely, got nice tan, looking at going back in sept but holidays are getting very expensive now probably cause of the fuel shortage, going to crantock in july in caravan then staying with g&l for a few days will have to put up with grays jokes, will give them your love and your blog lynn will probably get in touch with you.well thats all for now jen look after yourself.
all our love eddie&mo xxx

Hi Jenni, Just been catching up on your latest fun and games now that we're back from our own 'time in the sun' - we've just come back from a few very lazy days in Torremolinos - never been before but the price was right from our local airport and we were very impressed with the place - good hotel, palm trees, sea, sand and best of all sun a-plenty - 28 degrees all week...what more could we want - and we didn't have to go bean picking - just picking up an occasional glass...or two....or three....LOL Aunty Kath and Grunkle Brian xx

Hi Jenni,Like the latest pix on here and good to hear from you after you saw mine on Facebook. If you haven't already heard, Doncaster did beat Leeds much to Grunkle Brian's delight though he can't smile too much as one of his friends is a Leeds supporter ! Grunkle Brian has a new past-time - arranging holidays for us but so far he isn't looking at going as far as Oz so keep the photos and stories coming.LOL A.Kath and Grunkle Brian xx
Daddy
Hi Jen. Just to let you know I cracked the technology and put our last three photo sets including your leaving party on a DVD and will post them to you next week. Doncaster Rovers are at Wembley tomorrow in the play offs. They have to beat Leeds to have a chance, so fingers crossed. Half term here so Charlotte & Alex have gone to Prague for a few days. How the sailing going?? Woul'nt mind a go myself. Speak to you soon.
Love daddy
