Wow it's been a while since i wrote in this think im about 10 blogs down, not good! Whats also not good is that my notebook is crazy and either the space button doesntwork--- my point exactly. or it decides to throw me back to the start to continue writing...anyway il get on as best as i can....so how is everybody??? i kinda feel like a warm up act now being as no one can answer, well anyway i hope ur all good and keep the comments coming or il give up altogether! :)

Right so we left Vang Vieng (grudgingly) for Luang prabang which is north Laos, We literally woke up at half 10 went to book leaving at 11 and got told we would be picked up in 45 mins so we packed and headed downstairs to wait. Got put on this s***ty old bus with no toilet and no leg room, luckily there wasnt that many people on it so me and char had two seats each. It took about 7 hours to Luang Prabang and it was all on mountains, i was petrified,all i kept seeing was news bulletins on bus going off cliff, we actually dipped to the right at one point and i was all but ready to get my phone out and ring my loved ones....except my phone didnt work and i doubt my loved ones would want to hear from me at 5am. Met this welsh couple on the bus and shared a tuk tuk to the centre with them, me and char have decided we only seem to get on with older people or children not people our age ...maybe its our maturity levels...(take that how u want). We got to Luang Prabang centre and walked through this night market to find a hotel, this market was massive and everything i saw i wanted....ihadnt shopped in months so i got very excited by everything, it was mainly clothes for the children (mia woody and jack) that i wanted badly! anyway eventually got to our room, it was a big attic room with the only window being in the bathroom and it was frickin freezing we didnt even need the fan on. The bathroomwas also full of midgies on the walls so i used the hose you are meant to use to wash your nether regions to kill them all:) We headed out to explore and get some dinner and endedup in this posh gorgeous restaurant where we shared a carafe(yes lis i have officially used one now get me) and a pizza. They had proper desserts here not just pineapple pancakes or random sticky rice so we decided to get one. Char went for banana cake (apparently michaelas is alot better...i must try this when i get home:)) and i went for black forest gateux, i can honestly say i've never had a better one before....( mum u cant get annoyed as uve never made one, if u practise now il judge when im back). We decided to go back to the hotel as we were tired and it looked like it was starting to rain. The room was sonoisy we kept hearing motorbikes and people talking...that we could deal with but if anyone decided they wanted hanky panky in this building it may kill our ears!

The following morning we woke to the sound of thunder and rain, i said to charil go check out the window in the bathroom to see what the weather was like, she grinned at me and said yes jen you do that and let me know....so i wandered off and came back with a lookof embarrassment on my face, ok so it appears the bathroom window looks out onto the hallway of our hotel...and i have a feeling char knew that!!haha. Anyway we took cover from the rain and stayed in bed watching films and poppin out to get drinks, then we headed for the night market when the rain had ceased. We both ended up buying a few things, i couldnt resist!! i found something little for char for her bday just gotta carry it around now until then and it hope it doesnt break in my bag. There was also these lil tiny pillow type things same size as pencil sharpener which say different things on them,me and char had a giggle who the hell would buy those?? It started to rain again so we went to street man and bought some noodles,rice (i like rice) and veg to take back to the room). I was zonked...doing nothing really wears u out, so i fell asleep.

In the morning char told me I had slept talked, this is a ongoing joke with us cos apparently i do it alot....last time i woke up shouting what is that!! this woke char up and she got a bit worried (she said the worst thing is my eyes are open so it looks like im awake) apparently then i just said oh dont worry its just the hat stand and i went back to sleep leavin char looking around the room seeing no hatstand whatsoever and wondering what the hell just happened. Well this time i apparently (i say apparently cos i still say char makes this stuffup lol altho shes adamant she couldnt even think this stuff up if she tried) shouted crazy lady!! what you looking at mosquito lady, and then stop looking at me!!char said she couldnt stop giggling!.i am officially a freak i knew i have sleep talked before cos em has mentioned it but the things char says i come out with are quite amusing.

At the nightmarket they have this coffee stand,and my god its amazing we got one nearly every night we were there,mocca for me americano for chars!!beautiful!!The following day we decided we needed to see the place so sod the rain and we headed out to explore,we went to the museum,the antique car place and along the river where we went to this lil restaurant which actually lookedawful, we asked for a sandwich but apparently that was breakfast foodso they didnt do it, so we settled for me having a pad thai and char having a green curry...they were gorjus tho really suprised. Then we got our own private boat along the mekong river (yes we have a private driver dont u know) It wasnt a great day weather wise but we really enjoyed it, i was singing rosie and jim along the way and telling char stories from when i was younger and we used to go on the norfolk broads...fred scarred me for life by telling me everywhere the buoys are means there are sharks!!.. have i already mentioned this oh well!!

I am actually peeling on every part of my body i have never been this burnt before my fingers are even peeling!i look like i have a weird skin infection!! We booked cambodia which was alot more effort than we thought, and so decided to make it easier and cheaper we would go to dhon dhet in laos (south) then onto cambodia from there,so we we were set to leave the following morning at 7 am, The only thing left for tonight was more shopping and another red wine carafe :) Char had bought me a bracelet from the night market andi hadbought her one of those stupid pillows haha it says i love laos on it i had to refrain from a funny one like do you love me etc I also discovered grape fanta its lovely they have such random fantas over here,no lemon or fruit twist but strawberry,lychee, grape, pineapple,pineapplea banana, etc sooo strange. That night before weleft i found this weird millipede in the bathroom and called char we grabbed a hose each and steven seagal'd it down the drain...yes i know...we are awesome!!

Now to Dhon Dhet....a 24 hour journey!!
