I woke up feeling surprisingly well and sat outside in the sunshine reading until everyone else was up. We tried an hour of schoolwork but it was a complete waste of time as the kids were all far too tired. Everyone was awake quite early and it was lovely to sit outside and read in the sunshine until it was late enough to start the generator for a coffee. We were all feeling the need for a day of rest after such a busy week of sightseeing. There was no rush to get out of bed and so by the time we eventually surfaced the sun was shining and it was another beautiful day in Queensland. Breakfast was a long drawn out affair as the kids all wanted toast, which takes forever under our gas grill, but once we were finished we got stuck into schoolwork. We all had a fantastic night's sleep as it is very quiet here but it got really cold in the middle of the night and we must be in a dip as there was mist across the oval. Katharine woke up at 5 am needing the toilet and when we walked across the oval to the ablution block it felt like we were walking through a cloud - very eerie and we were both damp by the time we got back into bed. We all had another great night's sleep, although Anna climbed into bed with us at 5 am having dreamt she was being kissed by a giant!!
