Today the magic happened. It all clicked and the lessons have paid off with the girls linking heel and toe turns. Gazz was the man who helped today. The girls started the lesson on the beginner slope but ended up going up the chair to do a green slope. It was quieter at Mt Norquay which made it easier for everyone. Stacey and Sue arrived and after the girls lesson they helped me give Stacey and Sue some lessons. They picked it up well and even did some short runs without falling. After a snack we did a few more runs and then headed back to Banff. On the way back we saw a herd of Caribou sitting on the side of the highway.
Back at the hotel we freshened up and watched some Home Alone (for the 3rd or 4th time), just to get in the Christmas spirit. We walked into town for a coffee and hot chocolate, today we found a 2 for 1 card we could have been using all week, doh! As we wandered back we watched some kids playing ice hockey in a park on the main street. The girls got excited and tomorrow we will try to hire some skates for them to have some fun.
We had dinner in the restaurant tonight where we ate steak, burgers, tacos and some vegies. After dinner we retired to rest, and get some more Christmas cheer watching Die Hard. At least we don't have to set an alarm in the morning.
