A delightful dinner at a Pizza restaurant on the Des Champs Elysees with Isaline and her mother has concluded a busy and enjoyable day.
In the morning we travelled to Palace De Versailles by the jam packed suburban train. Somehow the train crowded to capacity managed to absorb the Sullivans and Isaline.
Arriving at the Palace I was astounded at the sheer size of the De Versailles. After a queue we joined another crowd that jostled its way around the magnificent Palace. Greg and Harry had the express tour, James, Tom, Isaline and I enjoyed a moderate pace, whilst Master Ben took a more Grandad pace of the palace. So many people, and so many kodak moments.
In the palace gardens we were greeted by Isaline's sister who managed the gardens of the palace of De Versailles. She took us to a stone building structure in the gardens that was off limits to tourists. Inside locked away from the masses we enjoyed our picnic lunch. Isaline said that we were very privileged to be there as the last guests who celebrated a wedding with Robbie Williams performing paid 70,000 euros to hire the venue for one evening.
The boys enjoyed a tour of the Arc De Triomphe with Isaline and her mother, then dinner and a walk home.
