Off we go! Picked up on time by John and off to the airport. We were stoked to get in the short queue as we were traveling premium economy! But as we were on standby we were told that premium economy was booked out but we could pay a bit extra and go business. Ummm... Heck yes!!! So after a quick coffee in the lounge we head to gate 86 and yet again get in the short line for check in. When we board we are told to turn LEFT!! And it was like angels starting singing and we were in business class with more room than we could even imagine. Oh yeah. Sky Beds!! And hot towels. And welcome drink. And little travel packs. And a fancy menu with food served on real china. And a 10" touch media TV. Me thinks we will just fly business class somewhere next time and fly home again straight away!!! We got a bit confused about eating dinner at lunch and then putting in our breakfast order which would actually be served at dinner time but hey who cares when you eat what when you get a real knife on a plane! Blockbuster movie time - We both watched Paul then Kurt opted for scary and I did chick flick Bridesmaids. Very funny! A few V Australia signature cocktails and our 3 course meals then a little nap. As I write this we are cruising at 39,000 feet and have traveled nearly 10,000km. Just under 3 hours to go which means it is about 8pm Aussie time. That remaining 3 hours will be interrupted by breaky in about an hour. You order like it is room service in a hotel. I've elected to have the bircher muesli and Kurt has gone for the full hot breakfast which I will no doubt help him with. We are due to land at 6.20am into LAX. By the time we clear customs work out where to find the minibus to take us to the Thrifty counter and then get our car we should be hitting the highway right on peak hour!! Las Vegas here we come!!
