By far one of the highlights was Yoga for the girls at a local orphanage - Hogar de Ninas Madre Albertina. One of the things Reagan tried to arrange prior to leaving the US was a visit to an orphanage. Given language barriers, she struggled to get it arranged. When you take your kids out of their routine for a month, you hope they are going to enjoy the new sites, sounds, and vibes. But you never know for sure... Based on this smile, I think Patrick is really enjoying his experience in Nicaragua! We aren't even a week into our adventure yet; plenty more things to smile about ahead!

Our last night in Granada! We simply strolled around Parque Central, walked down the main avenue, had a nice local dinner, and had a great night overeall. This happened to be in Granada, Nicaragua. Not surprising in a third world country. Problem is, you can find this every day in every country around the world...

What a day - hiking 5.5 kilometres STRAIGHT UP HILL, to the top of Mombacho Volcano. There is a beautiful view of the volcano from central Granada, so we decided "what the heck" - why not hike to the top. It was one of the hardest physical things I've ever done. But the views from the top were amazing! You can see Lake Nicaragua in the background, along with Las Isletas. The views were well worth the 3 hours of difficult hiking!
