8th December

Back through customs into Malaysia and we notice an immediate difference in the cleanliness from Singapore. We headed to Melaka a small heritage town. The hostel that Morgane booked turned out to be more like a hospital with curtain door and strange people starring at you while you are trying to fall asleep...think we will be moving tomorrow then. We then visited the night market (yes, another one!) and it seems my fetish for watches is back with a vengeance. 9th December Quick tour around the town today, it has a Georgetown feel to it but lacks the charm. I am left waiting for Morgane outside of antique shops numerous times today and am eyeing up the local bar at the end of the road, all this sightseeing makes for thirsty work. 10th December We met back up with our dutch sidekick Marieke today and took the advice of our bible (the lonely planet) and did the river tour. It was great to see Marieke again and we had a catch up over a nice meal and numerous glasses of red wine. We then ventured to a local bar that had live music playing (i say live music, it was more like 2 randoms off the street singing kareoke). A few shots and buyers choice later we were on the dance floor dancing as if we were in one of Lady Gagas music videos, it did not make for good viewing or for good heads in the morning but a great night was had by all.
