SARAHS' MONKEY MADNESS
Hello from Malyasia! Well i arrived on the island of hong a couple of days ago now and am leaving for the mainland again this afternoon. I'm so sick of packing and unpacking my rucksack. Cant wait to get home and just live out of a wardrobe again! When i got here i transferred to my hotel which suprisingly ended up being a 5 star resort on the beach. Again, i had my own (massive) room with kitchen, king size bed and balcony looking out to sea. It was heaven! The hotels in asia are spotless but it really makes me wish i had someone with me to share this experience with! It gets quite lonely sometimes! The beach was lovely (the sea wasnt the cleanest and full of jellies so i never ventured in!) and i had two free welcome cocktails, sat on the beach and treated myself to pizza (yummy!) and i even grabbed myself a FREE full body massage on the beach in a little hut that looked onto the sea. It was amazing! The weather wasnt great but the few broken clouds allowed me to top up my tan a bit more so it worked for me! The next day i travelled to my adjoining hotel in the middle of Georgetown as this is where i was meeting the rest of my tour group to travel through malaysia with. I was slightly nervous about meeting them as they had been together for thailand and i was worried they wouldnt like me or find me weird or vice versa. Turns out that they are a lovely bunch of girls and one guy. There is only 7 of us so it makes it really nice to be in a small group so we can get to know each other well for the next 10 days! We had a walking tour yesterday and saw so much.We went to little india, china town, a fort, lots of heritage sights (for those that know me yuo would probably know i had a blank expression on my face when we went to these places as it really doesnt rock my boat to be honest!) it was midday too and sooooooooo dammed hot! Sweating like piggies in a brothel! Everyone was burning too which didnt help but it made it very worthwhile when we reached pizza hut! Well deserved i reckon. I then bought myself a watch from the market which i would never usually do but this one looks like jewellary so i will where it i promise! We then went to a monastry in the hills which was absolutely beautiful to say the least! Afterwards we got back to the hotel got freshened up and went out for the best indian meal i have had since jeera! Two of the girls hadnt ever been to an indian restaurant so me and nina ordered a feast so that they could try everything! It was utterly amazing! Nina actually comes from good old boro and now lives in oz so its been great talking to her and reminissing about home. She was delighted when i sparked her menory of chesney hawks haha! Her uncle actually owns the Dickens!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes the dickens terrance! What a small world! We just chilling out today before our 6 hour journey (on public transport!!!!) to the jungle! We have a home stay here in a traditional village! I can still watch the footie though so i'm a happy bunny! We spend two days here trekking and doing 4 wheel drive tours and stuff so should be interesting! Need to work off the indian and pizza to be honest!!! Well thats about all kids for now! Less than two weeks to go!!! Cant wait, to have a hug, snuggle up on the couch and do normal things again! Hope everyones ok! Good luck for getting exam results! I'm so excited for you all!
Miss you all! Love me xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
