Just spent a couple of days in Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world apparently. Haven't summoned the courage to bungee or skydive yet but we've been horseriding in a Lord of the Rings style, hiking up a pretty big hill and then skiing today, so we feel we've participated at least. Horseriding was fantastic, especially considering both of us were beginners we had a really great time and the scenery around queenstown is brilliant which made it pretty special. Skiing today was great and I'm particularly chuffed not to have broken anything cos it was pretty icy. Think I did ok as well, only one panic when we went halfway down a 'piste' only to find it stopped round the corner with nothing but some ice, some grass and some rocks to ski over, I think it would have been ok normally but the snowfall this year has been tiny, it looks almost summery here, it's just freezing cold. Christchurch is our next stop, will write again soon xx
