Just been in New Zealand for 2 nights now, it's so beautiful, despite the constant cold, rain and mist! We landed farily late into Christchurch and because of the bus times had to set of pretty early the next day but we'll be back there in about a week so we'll see it all then. We're on the Kiwi Experience bus which has a bit of a bad reputation to be honest but it's actually really good, we're in a small group and everyone seems really nice. The drivers are really knowledgeable and they can book you hostels and activities and stuff so even though you feel a bit like a sheep (which by the way outbumber people 11 to 1 here) it's much easier and we're enjoying it. Crossing the southern alps would probably have been more impressive on a clearer day but we're hiking for 8 hours tomorrow up to Franz Josef glacier and the weather is hopefully supposed to improve before then, fingers crossed. Then we travel on to Wanaka and Queenstown for skiing!!!!!! Monica x x x
