Well, we finally got around to writing on this!

We're just enjoying out last couple of hours in Riga before starting our first big train journey, to Moscow. Riga has been fantastic, our hostel is right in the heart of the Old Town so perfect for exploring.

So far, aside from battling with foreign keyboards that do weird things when you try to use them, we have enjoyed drinks in a bar at the top of a 26 floor hotel, gone on a couple of excursions to the countryside and the beach and visited a former Soviet nuclear bunke, along with a lot of pottering around on foot.

The only downside has been the easy access to UK football meaning we could see the pitiful displays by Everton and Celtic in Europe.

Anyway, our train leaves in a couple of hours and we will arrive in Moscow midday tomorrow.
