If your writing wasn't so damn good, I would really give you a bad time about whimping and whining about having blood drawn when you get back; be reminded it is so that you can go to Barnard College, a somewhat extraordinary next event in your life.
I loved your descriptions of everything, it all bringing back wondreful memories of my first trip to Europe in January 1961 (I think). I was with my parents (your grandparents you never met) and Sharon. Brenda was back in SA pregnant with Helen. My mom took us to every archeological site, church and museum in Rome, Naples, and down to Capri. I had come from Israel, and we then all on to Paris for a similar "see everything in a week" trip.
I hope you had curry in Scotland, the best i ever had!
See you vrey soon, my great kid.

Hi,
I am thrilled to hear about Florence. If I were to return to Italy (was there in 1999) I would spend more time there &less in Rome. And, yes, I have been following your posts & remembering the scene at Cape Hope that was in the video you shared with the AP class w/ the sights from South Africa.
Of course I miss all of you. And, there is no comparison for me this year because I am not teaching the AP section.
TAKE CARE!

Mrs. Williams, you have no idea how much it means to me that you (and other Nashobians!) have looked at this! I hope you've enjoyed another batch of seniors this year, though I know nothing can compare to 2008!

As usual, wonderful light writing. I am so glad the Porter's took such good care of you and I am not surprised. They are good people.
Sounds like you saw a side of Tel Aviv we did not. And, the movie with intermission sounds weird...I only remember that for long movies, like Gone with the VIND!.
Have fun! And come home soon, I am waiting.
