Little Mick's Hunny Harem Extravanganza
Hi all,
Great to hear from some of the Access crew namely ADM & Helen. You'll be glad to hear the beard has gone. That was just the lazy traveller in me for a bit! No need to worry ADM - I'll be back clean shaven!
Well I am now in Perth well Fremantle to be exact (AKA Freo to the locals). Pretty cool city. Its very relaxed with an easy going atmosphere and I am delighted to say I am staying in a great place called the pirates backpackers. Its clean, the people are friendly and it doesn't cost a fortune either! Oh another plus is the firendly good looking girl on reception! Purrr - Sch-wing! Some home work to be done there!!
Well tonight I'm heading to jail. Long overdue you're probably all thinking, but I'm going any way. I am doing a torchlight tour of fremantle prison at 8pm. Its supposed to be pretty cool and scary. Woooo! Tomorrow then not being able to go 2 days with out a tipple I'm heading on a winery tour. That leaves from the city (Perth) at 10:30 going down to the swan valley, so I'll have to be up early to catch a train into Perth. I might check out Northbridge in Perth city tomorrow night as that is where all the funky bars in Perth are.
Fremantle as quite a few funky bars of its own. There's the sail and anchor and little creatures which both brew their own beer. The latter has won the best beer in the world award for its pale ale, so a few of them were drunk last night! I met up with Amy (my friend from Trek America) last night and two of her friends Katie & Jess. We headed to little creatures for a few and then went to a place where Amy used to work for a bite to eat. I'm glad to say her eye brows have grown back and the fringe is coming along also! You'd hardly notice the fringe with the comb over she has so that's cool. As always Amy is a great sport about it all and just laughs it off now. I will add some photos of the hair growth another day. The girls got the last bus back to the uni campus and I continued on my tour of Freo bars. I ended up in Rosie O'Grady's where there was a good one man band playing. I also founf out that Rosie's in Perth shows the GAA matches, so guess where I'll be sunday night at 9? Got it in one - come on the rebels!
I am not sure what I am doing with the rest of my time. As always time is against me. I'd like to see Wave rock (pictured above) as its 2.7 million years old and looks cool and there's also the pinacles and rottenest island to see, but I'm not sure if I'll fit it all in. I hope to meet up with Amy again for a propper session at some stage, but she's working tomorrow, so maybe Sunday?
Anyway that's all my news, hope you are all safe in London. Oh, I have finally got the sky dive photos on the site so have a butchers their very cool - even if I do say so myself.
Well Take care & continue to check out the site and leave the odd message. If I love ya you should get a postcard at some stage!
Eireann go Brath,
God bless,
Mick
