So we arrived on Koh Chang island after another irritating border crossing. Not sure if I'll ever get used to these but at least they're pretty safe in South East Asia (unlike horror stories of African crossings we've heard from other travelers). Koh Chang (Thai for "Elephant Island") is awesome. As you can tell fro the pics we've obviously done the elephant ride - and so far it has been the highlight of the trip - even better than Angkor Wat as an experience (call me a philistine). We get back to mainland Thailand tomorrow for one night in Bangkok and the up to Lop Buri for some monkeying around in temples, and then up to Chang Mai for some trekking.
