An easy and very pleasant drive from Minot to Saskatoon!!! So glad Matthew recommended it instead of Regina...and we are a couple hours ahead for tomorrow's stretch! The drive was fast. No traffic, wide open road with a spectacular, brilliant, blue sky over yellow fields of flax dotted with tall silver grain elevators with red and blue roofs. Managed to book a beautiful room with a view of the South Saskatchewan river in the bessborough hotel. Castle like chateaux front-end.
Had a lovely fondue dinner...followed by a sudden downpour of hail.some flooding in areas and a nice walk home in the sun, minutes later..Crazy Canadian weather! I was wearing the same dress I wore following the flood of the Hong Kong typhoon...coincidence?
