Megsy on the go...
We've got the POWER to win, the POWER to rule,
Come on Port Adelaide agression,
We're the POWER from Port, its more than a sport,
Its the true Port Adelaide tradition.
We'll never stop stop stop,
Till we're top top top,
Its history here in the making,
Port POWER to win, we'll never give in 'till the flag is ours for the taking
PORT POWER!!
You little beauty, good to hear the Power have finally done it. Thanks to all for the updates quarter by quarter, goal by goal - if it wasn't 6.30am when it started and I wasn't amongst 30 strangers on the bus - I would have been singing my head off. Instead I've bottled it up inside, so look out when I eventually get to see a replay one day. I thought I might catch a replay in Dublin last night, but missed it by just 5 hours.
Just typical that they not only make their first GF but win it when I m across the otherside of the world! Maybe that is a sign!
Anyhoo, that's enough of that....
Well that's pretty much it for the first leg of my travels and I have even come through unscathed (touch wood). In Ireland for one last night tonight then its back to London overnight before jetting off to Vancouver.
Arrived back from my tour yesterday evening and as I said above, walked the city trying to find an Aussie pub hopefully with a GF replay happening, but without success so returned to my room a very unhappy lassey!
This morning had to shift from the cushy guest house room I was freeloading at to a hostel, but thought I'd do a quick spot of washing on the way. So here I was trotting the streets of Dublin with full pack, fighting through the swarms of people that had invaded the city for the All Ireland Gaelic footy final - quite a task - only to find, well actually, not to find a laundromat that was open!! So opted instead to offload the pack and do a quick spot of shopping for new underwear!
Then it was off to the pub to watch the big game (All Ireland final - trying not to think of the AFL GF for fear of letting that jubilation loose and running through the streets of Dublin singing the Power song!). Found a nice big pub and sat there like Nigel no friends, but enjoyed the game and a quiet pint with a couple of old ladies supporting Kerry. Congrats to all those Kerry supporters (love that winning feeling - did I mention - go the Power!) and commiserations to the Mayo contingent. I had to back Kerry - the good old green and gold of Australia!
Well that's that really, am now one week closer to being home and one week further from being on holiday! Will try to put some photos on the website soon, bit hard to do in the internet cafe.
So bye for now and take care. Would love to hear what you are all up to.
Later Gators!!
