My own picture! Taken today from the Manly ferry. We are now back in Sydney and I can not believe our Australian adventure is so very nearly at an end. We woke on Wednesday in the Blue Mountains to total white out. No, not snow of course, but the mountains were totally in the cloud. Nothing was visible beyond around 20 metres. Now in the Blue Mountains, just an hour to the west of Sydney. Not seen the famous Three Sisters as yet (library pic here) but they are just five minutes walk away from our hotel and we plan to go either tomorrow or Thursday - it is threatening to rain all day tomorrow so it may be we simply chill in our hotel and leave any sightseeing until Thursday when the forecast is quite good. Library pic - waves not as big as this right now.... Having a chilling few days down at Coogee Beach. Been to Bondi today (one beach up from Coogee) - lovely beach, ocean gorgeous, everything else is tacky. Not even any hunky surfers to feast the eyes on! Ah well, been there, done that! So pleased we are no longer in Queensland as it is being ravaged by cyclones. Got out in time!

Monday 16th. What a day! I hardly know where to start, so at the beginning is probably best. Up early, quick breakfast and picked up from the hotel at 8.25 by a nutty coach driver who proceeded to crack jokes for the next half an hour as he picked up from other hotels and then took us out to the station to catch the heritage train up to Kuranda, high up in the rain forest. He epitomised everything we've always thought about coach tours. Mmm, no further comment. ...
