Well good news... We didn't have to flap our wings or blow the plane to Paris....vueling.com is for real!!! AND my walking stick made it in one piece although am worried about air canada handling it so may look at packing it up some how.... Mom says to me... How do you say bubble wrap in French?? I answer... I dunno.... Wrap de bubble?? Oh we laughed.... We are some tired! We were able to walk to our hotel... Checked into our swank hotel and looked at the menu and laughed.... We may not eat for two days but we have a nice hotel room!!! We did end up finding a nice little pizza/pasta place in the next hotel that was decent priced so we ate there.... Was a late night and we had a big day in Paris ahead of us...off to sleep in our crisp sheets and puffy duvets and pillows.... Bliss!!

Well we certainly were not in a hurry this morning... Took our time getting ready and enjoying our coffee in our room....we found a little cafe in the train station which is attached to our hotel.... Had a bite to eat and headed into Paris.... We rocked the Metro like we were pro's!! On and off and onto the next line and voila... The Eiffel Tower!! And very very very long lines!! I decided I would wait in the line as I wanted to get up to the top.... Took me 2 1/2 hrs of line ups and elevator rides to get to the top.... Every minute was worth it.... Wow!! It was breath taking although foggy.... I just took it all in..... Walk around and stop and look.... Around a little more and stop and look until I had made my way around.... I tried to see if I could see mom but I couldn't find her she was sitting in the trees...made my way back down and mom had bought some lunch so after taking more pics of us with the tower in the background we found a bench and had a picnic....we decided to go to Notre Dame Cathedral.... Tower for me Cathedral for mom.... The cathedral was amazing although we have both been there before.... Lit some candles and mom did her thing.... We found a nice little cafe and had our 5 euro cafe's!!!! Reminded me of Italy.... Everything is expensive.... Mom found a nice scarf she liked and bought it.... We headed back to our hotel and decided to splurge and have supper in the hotel.... Mom wrapped her new scarf around her neck over the shirt she has been wearing for a month.... Me in my black fleece and we headed down to the dining room and had a yummy supper.... Went for a stroll after and back to the room.... And for the first time in a month we are watching the news in English!!! Heading back to Canada tomorrow.... Going to Red Deer for a few days.... Must get Tim's right off the plane in Edmonton.... Just saying!
