Kings Canyon, another 'must see' place in the NT and another place that for us, is over rated. The campground, sorry 'resort' is flash, but comes with a $50 a night for unpowered price tag. From Alice Springs we headed west into the West MacDonnell ranges and National Park. I forgot to mention in my last blog when I spoke about Mataranka, that it is famous because of Jeannie Gunn's autobiographical novel We Of The Never Never published in 1908, it is an account of her experiences in 1902 on Elsey Station near Mataranka.
