Well Hello There!

It's been a busy old week or so since we last updated in Wanaka, no dad it's not one-knacker or w***er!!

After we finished up in Wanaka we headed over to Franz Josef glacier, we landed in the smallest town that resembled across between switzerland & the Amazon! The Fraz Glacier is one of three in the world that flows right in to a rainforest, I didn't believe it myself until I saw it with my own eyes. Its extrodanary to see snow covered mountains with flowing ice cutting strait through rainforest. So boys and girls every day is a school day!

The town it's self was very small, pubs and tours shops thats all really which was enough for us, so we booked ourselfes on a 6 hour glacier hike for the next day, I was thinking we might live to regret that desicion or not! But I was wrong we hit the base of the galcier and shimmied our way up the ice stairs, well not so much shimmied but stomped up with our crampons on. It was amazing to see the blue Ice and crevices and the view over the valley was top! We headed back down feeling very chuffed with ourselves for completeing such a task and reward ourselves with a beer or three.

Rick tried his hand at ice climbing again this time indoors, I decided to sit that one out after nearly breaking my arm on the last attempt and instead took action shots of Rick hacking his way up the wall like a Snow Clad action man! oh and drank Coffee!!

We are now in ChristChurch the largest city on the south island and really enjoying being back in a city! It's much like Lancaster in size and really chilled out, Oh god I nearly forgot the most important news of all, the one that every one's been waiting for yes it's true Rick has finally got his hair cut and a very good job they did to, I'm now put to shame and in search of a good hairdresser's myself but I'm to scared of what it might look like after, I'll just after bite the bullet!

From here we will head to Kaikoura to swim with Dolphins and check out the vineyards god its tough being us! and then we will be heading to North Island to check out the volcano's and throw ourselves out of planes!

For anyone who cares we have changed our intinary and will now be leaving NZ on the 17th April, hanging around in Oz for 2 and bit weeks visting our friend Marg and hopefully Chloe - can't wait to see ya:) and then heading of to Bangkok on the 5th May.

So I think that's everything upto date for now am going to go grab myself a Southern Comfort and coke!
