Can´t remember where we were up to but we´ve done some things in between... Igazu Falls, etc, but they were mostly camping (one time by a lake full of pirhana´s and caymen (the south american alligator), drinking and playing poker - so I won´t talk about those!!

We did get the truck stuck in the mud - took an hour to get free.

Quick mention of the Iguazu falls on the Argie side and Brazil side – they are stunning. If you do go definitely go on both sides. I was supposed to go microliting over a nearby damn – be warned, if the wind is strong enough to blow a crisp packet you won´t be going anywhere. It was so I did´nt.

Anyways onto Rio. A beautiful place - as is the coastline south of here - loads of deserted beaches, for mile after mile we stayed at Bertioga one evening, not a bad place to chill and relax before hitting Rio plus NO TOURISTS!!

Music and passion were always the fashion, at the Copa, Copacabana – thanks for that one Barry!

Here we are in Rio, home of Carnival!!

First night in Rio and it was off to the Red & Black Ball - costumes not an essential upon seeing the locals in baseball caps and trainers - nice to see you made the effort guys!! We did make the effort and put some of the locals to shame! The Ball itself was pretty cheesy. There were live bands pumping out all the Brazilian party faves, but with all the alcohol flowing and the weird and wonderful people on show it was more a superb evening.

Word of warning if you are a single guy looking for love in Rio at Carnival - be careful, they may not be a lady, more a lad.

Sugar Loaf Mountain & The Big Man Not advisable on a hangover – still very good though.

Fluminense (5th) vs Vasco da Gama (1st ) at Maracanã (capacity 103,000). Vasco won a last minute penalty to draw level. Twas a superb 8 goal thriller – 4 all plus Romario made an appearance! 12k attendance bit like a Deepdale gate!! Turns out Vasco knocked Man U out of a cup few seasons back – haha! 

Tonight we´re off to the Sambadrome – which is on all night!! Redbull at the ready!
