Hi all!
Quick update as we are going to get takeaway soon!
We are back on the North island for a few more days before we leave for Fiji. We are sad to be leaving because we love this country and have met so many great people here but also looking forward to some relaxation on the beach.
you may have gathered from the new pics that Rachel did Skydive on Monday, lots of fun!
After we left Queenstown we arrived in Dunedin, which is supposed to be the Edinburgh of the South. Didn't look anything like Edinburgh but a lot of the street names were similar. We visited the Cadbury factory while we there and enjoyed lots of free samples, yum! We also climbed the world's steepest street, which was a lot harder than we first thought it would be.
After Dunedin we made our way up to Lake Tekapo, which was beautiful. We took a nice walk around the lake with out friends Ash, Adam and Erin.
Next we visited Kaikoura. The weather wasn't great so we decided to chill and we watched Love Actually to get us in the Christmas mood. Everything is getting Christmassy here but it's really weird...the sun is shining and we're walking about in skirts and flipflops so its bizarre seeing decorations and hearing Christmas songs! Takes a lot of getting used to!
We have just spent the weekend in Wellington again. We had a couple of great nights out with some friends from the bus, Cathy and Mark and we also met up with Graeme and Scott (who we spent our last weekend in Welly with) so we had lots of fun!
Today we got the bus up to Napier and are going to have another chill-out evening 9all this bus travel takes it out of you!) before our final drive to Auckland. Pics of the last few days to follow shortly so keep checking!
