Hello Everyone,
Long time no speak! We had a fantastic time in Fiji! Lots of sun, sea and sand! It was beautiful. We also went snorkelling with sharks!
We are now in Melbourne in Australia and almost one week in already! Andy (Gayle's boyfriend) arrived on Monday : ) We have had a very busy week already taking in all the sights. We are renting an apartment in St Kilda at the moment which is beside the seaside and we are based right in the centre!
Tuesday: We took a stroll along the St Kilda Pier and then took the tram into the centre and had a look around some of the shops. We found a lovely wee Victorian centre and enjoyed a cup cake, YUM! We then stumbled accross the Homeless World Cup 2008 which takes place every year and Scotland won it the previous year, YEAH! We watched a few of the matches and we saw Scotland beat Mexico, it was really exciting to watch.
Wednesday: We took a trip to the zoo which was superb, we have some fantastic photos of all the animals we saw to put up on the blog. We saw elephants, kangaroos, penguins, monkeys, tiger and loads more. In the evening we went for probably the best meal ever (thank you to Gayle's Mum) at the Prince de Circa hotel! It was amazing! Thank you Mum! We had the full 3 courses : )
On Friday we rented a car for 5 days and headed to the Great Ocean Road. We stopped at a place called Torquay and enjoyed a lazy day on the beach. On Saturday we headed to Nagambie for 8am and we both did a skydive. I was ever so slightly nervous about it when heading up in the plane 14,000 feet into the sky but Andy was well up for it! It all happened so quickly, one minute your flying in the plane and the next the door is open and your being flung out with your partner! It was absolutely amazing! Will need to get the photos on the blog! We both want to do another one! In the evening we had a meal in China Town, YUM!
Today we went to Aquarium and saw lots of different types of fish, sharks and penguins. We then headed to see the final of the Homeless World Cup where we saw Ireland lift the medal this year! Tomorrow we are heading back to the Great Ocean Road in our hire car! We are both having a fantastic time and the weather has been very kind to us so far.
Hope you are all well and Merry Christmas from OZ!
These computers are a bit hopeless so will hopefully get photos up next week sometime.
