Day one has been very busy.. Left the hotel at 8am and straight to join a massive queue to see Ho Chi Minhs body! And the nearby museum celebrating his life over the years. Then onto a welcomed lunch followed by the beautiful Temple of Literature. The Vietnamese give a lot of weight to education so this was interesting. Final stop was the Ethnology Museum which although very interesting was too hot and we had all lost enthusiastic for museums by that point. Back to the hotel for a quick rest and then out again to the water pupet show tonight. Water pupet show was great for the first 10 mins but unfortunately went on for nearly an hour! Then the evening got really good. Went into the old quarter for a meal at Little Hanoi. Bustling streets, millions of people. Then we walked back to the hotel. Through the night market past the buskers singing the Beatles back catalogue. Everything you could wish to buy.... We have a lovely group of people in our touring party more of that later. Best get to bed early as we are leaving to Halong Bay at 7am in the morning....
