Today we went to Universal Studio. It was a glorious 32C. First we did the studio tour. Some of the sets we went on were the set of Parenthood and desperate housewives. It was interesting to see how the homes really look but it was hard to have a connection with shows that we don't watch. As part of the studio tour we also saw King Kong 360 3D which was really amazing as was the Jaws set which after all these years is still pretty good. We also drove into a set and experienced an earthquake with explosions and water gushing down. This reenactment was from an episode of Bones. When we say it 20 years ago it was similar but the same scene was used in the movie Earthquake. We also went on all the rides with the main ones being Jurassic Park (where you get soaked no matter where you sit), transformers and the Mummy. We also watched the Waterworld stunt show and we watch the sound stage show. The remainder of the day we spent redoing all the rides and since we had VIP passes we went front of the line on every ride so no waiting.
After the park we walked down universal city which is an area in front of. Universal studios with shops and eateries. We then caught the metro back and walked Hollywood boulevard again. As usual all the "interesting" characters were out and that alone provides a source of entertainment. There are always people everywhere.
Californian weather has been amazing. Even though it's hot it is not humid and it is very pleasant.
Tomorrow we leave for Las Vegas.
