Hey Everybody - just letting you know i'm now back in Germany. Currently im back at school in my break - so i thought i would utilise this lapse in educational time by updating my blog!
Poland was great. On Saturday Chris and I went ice skating which was so much fun. There was a ice-rink out the front of a shooping centre (only cost 3 zloty (about $1.50AUD) so was fairly cheap - like alot of things in poland. After we hired a bike for a couple of hours and rode around the old city, through some parks and along the vistula river - it was really nice. NIghts of course we hit a few pubs but the local sprots bar was real good, 2 pints for 10 zloty ($5.00 AUD) and played alot of darts and kicker (in which i didnt lose a game).
Sunday we woke up early and went to a flea market. It was defintely an eye-opening experience - not only were they selling the normal junk at a market, but also a truckload of coins (i think polish must love coin colelcting) but as well as old Nazi medals and memorabilia (which i couldnt believe would be allowed to be sold) and alot of magazines not allowed to be sold to people under 18 (which chris loved)!
By the time we got to the airport it also began to snow very heavily - more than in berlin, and so as a result of having to kill more than 2 hrs we began to have a snowfight in front of the airport, which copped a few stares from passers by but we had a ball.
I will add some pictures soon when I get home and have enough time for...
And you ask what im doing this week... Will try and catch up on sleep if possible (although i have to get up at 6.00am everymorning for school). Friday night i finish my course and also go to icehockey. Hopefully will visit Australian pub Fostersgarden as well. Saturday night is the Nieste Karnival so im pumped for that too! Sunday to Tuesday I have free so planning something, possible locations include Köln, Luxembourg or München but havent decided yet!
Class is about to start back up but will write soon, B!
