Hello Everybody - welcome to München (Munich), Home of Beer and the Oktoberfest

Unfortunately it isnt October, so no copious amounts of beer will not be drunken in huge beer tents out of a 1L Mass (Glass).

Arrived safely, did a bit of a walk around while I waited so that I could check in at the hostel. Went and checked out Englische Garten and the Chínesiches Turm (another notorious place for beer) and then went to the Olympic Par... I would have to say it was amazing. There was a small hill behind the park and once you climbed to the top (wasnt easy) the view was amazing! In one way was the olympic park which is a sight itself, but in the other direction was a view over old houses towards the (snow covered) alps! It was so beautiful!

On the way back walked past the neue Rathaus (new townhall) and back to hostel, where I sit now! Planning trips to Hofbräu Brewery, possibly Löwenbräu brewery and Allianz Arena (home of FC Bayern Münich)! And of course will catch up soon with Bronwyn, who is studying at the moment in München!
